Dear Miss Karen,
I really want to thank you for all that you did for our daughter. I loved your structured, goal oriented approach to teaching. She really wanted to get her note or scale right every week so she could get a check on her board, and she was always very proud when she was successful. I don't think that we could have ever started our daughter in individual lessons without you.
Also, it is still hard for me to believe that you got our shy, nervous child to perform in a recital in front of a group of strangers. Our daughter recently had a recital with her new school/teacher, and it wasn't nearly as well organized as yours. In spite of a lot of technical issues (a bright light directly in her eyes which kept her from being able to see her music), she fought through the problems and stayed very calm. I was never so proud of her, and she wouldn't have been able to do this without your coaching.
You got our daughter off to a great start in what will hopefully be a lifetime of playing music, and we will always be grateful for that. Thanks again for all that you did for her!
